Paul Gugliuzza is the James E. Beasley Professor of Law at Temple University Beasley School of Law. An expert on patent law and patent litigation, he has published articles in the Duke Law Journal, Georgetown Law Journal, University of Pennsylvania Law Review Stanford Law Review, Texas Law Review, and Virginia Law Review, among other leading journals.
Professor Gugliuzza has testified before both the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, and his scholarship has been cited in over twenty judicial opinions. Professor Gugliuzza’s commentary and writing have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Slate, Talking Points Memo, Bloomberg, and many other news outlets. He is a regular contributor to the widely read blog, PatentlyO.
Professor Gugliuzza graduated summa cum laude from Tulane University School of Law. After law school, he clerked for Judge Ronald M. Gould on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and practiced in the Issues and Appeals group at Jones Day in Washington, D.C.
In fall 2025, Professor Gugliuzza will join the faculty at the University of Texas School of Law.
