Brietta Clark

Brietta R. Clark, J.D., is the Fritz B. Burns Dean and Professor of Law at LMU Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. She teaches in the areas of health care law, reproductive justice, bioethics, and torts. Clark’s research focuses on health care access, specifically the structural and individual forces that shape health and create inequity in our health delivery and financing systems. She has written and provided commentary on issues such as health reform, Medicaid access, health literacy, and health care discrimination, especially involving racial and ethnic disparities, reproductive and sexual health, disability, and barriers to care in carceral settings. She is also a co-author of the Clark, Fuse Brown, Gatter, McCuskey, & Pendo, Health Law Cases, Materials, and Problems, 9th Ed. 2022. Clark is active in the health professional and legal communities, assisting organizations seeking to promote equitable access to quality health care.
