Cydney M. Murray

Cydney M. Murray (pronouns: she/ella) is a Law and Policy Analyst at the Center for Public Health Law Research at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. In that role, she researches and creates legal epidemiology datasets across various public health topics. Her research focuses on abortion law, racial health equity, and reproductive justice. Her work has contributed to the LawAtlas State Abortion Laws database and the Post-Dobbs Abortion Restrictions and Protections dataset. Cydney was awarded a Society of Family Planning Changemakers Award in 2023 for her proposal to create a legal epidemiology dataset that captures state regulation of doula care, primarily via Medicaid funding and private insurance coverage requirements.

Cydney received her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in May 2022 and was admitted to the Bar of New Jersey in October 2022. Before starting law school, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with highest honors from Rutgers University in May 2017.
