Elle Rothermich is the Deputy Director of the Solomon Center for Health Law and Policy at Yale Law School. Her scholarship sits at the intersection of civil procedure, bioethics, and health justice. Currently, Elle’s research focuses on adequate representation in public health litigation and improving prescription drug access for under-resourced communities. Elle also enjoys thinking about (and worrying about) pharmacy benefit managers, Medicaid reimbursement, and brain-computer interfaces.
Elle’s latest published work can be found in JAMA, University of Pennsylvania Journal of Law & Public Affairs, and The Regulatory Review. In addition to her scholarship and other work at the Solomon Center, Elle participates in the Center’s Palliative and Geriatric Medical-Legal Partnerships, which provide health-related legal services to Yale New Haven Hospital patients.
Before coming to Yale, Elle clerked for the Honorable Anthony J. Scirica of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She received her J.D. and Master of Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a Silverman-Rodin Scholar and Littleton Fellow. Elle was a College Scholar at Cornell University, graduating with a B.A. in Government and English, summa cum laude, in 2019.
