Professor Fields Allsbrook joined the Howard University School of Law in the Fall of 2025. She started her full-time academic career at Saint Louis University School of Law in the Center for Health Law Studies, and previously, she has been an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law and a clinical fellow at the Harvard Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation. Before joining the academy, Professor Fields Allsbrook spent a decade in Washington, D.C., with experiences in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and in various nonprofit organizations including the Center for American Progress, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and the National Health Law Program. She continues to be an active advocate as a Senior Fellow with the National Partnership for Women and Families, and as a volunteer board member with If/When/How and SisterSong. Relatedly, Professor Fields Allsbrook research and scholarship centers on advancing health equity for women, people of color, and people with lowincomes.
