Kashish Aneja

O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, Georgetown University

Kashish Aneja leads initiatives in Asia and supports the Center for Transformational Health Law with his global legal expertise in health law and policy. He also serves as the co-secretariat, alongside the U.S. Government, of the Procurement Negotiation & Management Sub-Working Group of the Global Health Security Agenda Legal Preparedness Action Package (GHSA LP AP).

He is a visiting researcher at Harvard Law School for spring 2025, where his research is focused on technology transfers and their impact on access to essential health products. He is also a visiting scholar at the Petrie-Flom Center at the Harvard Law School, a practicing advocate at the Supreme Court of India, the co-founder of the Society for Democratic Rights, New Delhi, and also serves on the WHO Roster of Consultants for Public Health Law and Policy.

His work focuses on issues of law and policy surrounding pandemic preparedness and response, global health security, regulatory frameworks for non-communicable diseases, and the use of law to empower evidence-based public health practices. Aneja has provided legal technical assistance on projects with the World Health Organization, UNDP, UNAIDS, CEPI, the Center for Reproductive Rights, GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance, Duke-NUS, the Public Health Foundation of India, and the Centre for International Trade and Economic Laws in New Delhi. Aneja has also advised governments and drafted key legislation and national policies for countries in the Asia-Pacific.
