Sheela Ranganathan

O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law

Sheela Ranganathan is an associate with the Health Policy and the Law Initiative at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown Law. She provides technical assistance for policymakers and public education on health policy legal issues with an emphasis on access to coverage, affordability, transparency, and equity. At O’Neill, her research has focused on lawsuits related to the Inflation Reduction Act, the No Surprises Act, and antitrust enforcement in healthcare. Sheela will also be starting an adjunct faculty role with the Georgetown University School of Health in Fall 2024.

Prior to joining the O’Neill Institute, Sheela worked as a healthcare regulatory associate at Sheppard Mullin, where she drafted administrative appeals briefs for regulator hearings; researched the impact of post-Dobbs litigation; and conducted state-by-state reviews to ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations. Sheela earned a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and a B.S. in Healthcare Management and Policy from Georgetown University.
