Yaniv Heled is Professor of Law at Georgia State University College of Law and a member of both the Center for Law, Health & Society and the Center for Entertainment, Sports, and Intellectual Property Law, where he previously served as its inaugural director. He is a nationally recognized expert on pharmaceutical regulation, access to medicines, genetics and the law, and the legal governance of reproductive and biomedical technologies. 

Professor Heled has published more than two dozen articles and book chapters examining topics such as regulatory exclusivities, stem cell research, genetic testing, and innovation policy. His recent work explores how law should respond to advances in genetics, including the use of polygenic risk scores in human reproduction, as well as the role of language, psychology, and institutional behavior in judicial decisionmaking. 

In addition to his academic work, Professor Heled regularly engages in policyoriented efforts, including authoring amicus briefs and advising policymakers and nonprofits. He holds a J.S.D. and LL.M. from Columbia Law School and an LL.B. and undergraduate diploma in biology, magna cum laude, from Tel Aviv University.
