Yasamine Salkar

Yasamine Salkar, JD, MSHA, is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Associate Director of External Relations and Alumni Affairs at the Institute of Health Administration at Georgia State University, where she teaches health law, ethics, and experiential learning. Her work focuses on translating legal reasoning for healthcare leaders and designing experiential learning environments that bridge classroom knowledge with real-world impact.

Trained as both an attorney and health administrator, Professor Salkar’s scholarship and teaching explore medical-legal partnerships, health policy, and the structural role of law in healthcare delivery. She is particularly interested in how storytelling and professional identity formation shape student learning in applied settings.

She is a Fellow of the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) and has presented nationally through the American Bar Association and academic health law forums. Her work centers on preparing future leaders to navigate the legal, ethical, and organizational complexities of modern healthcare systems.
