Gregory Curfman, MD, is executive editor, JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association), and executive editor of JAMA Cardiology. He previously served as executive editor of NEJM (New England Journal of Medicine). Dr. Curfman attended Princeton University (AB) and Harvard Medical School (MD). He was trained as a cardiologist and internist. Dr. Curfman’s scholarship focuses on the intersection of health law and constitutional law. He is currently researching the potential impact of the loss of affirmative action in university admissions on the composition of the physician workforce in the US. He is also working on the impact of changes to the Voting Rights Act and healthcare.
