Julie Campbell

Julie L. Campbell, JD, LL.M, CHC, is an assistant professor of law at the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. She analyzes the health care system through an interdisciplinary lens, addressing issues that affect patient care and examining how technological advancements in medicine influence decision-making and the dying process. Her recent empirical study, titled “Does Reframing Do Not Resuscitate to Beneficial Care Only Increase Patient Acceptance of No-CPR Orders?” was published in the medical journal CHEST. Additionally, her article “Systemic Failures in Health Care Oversight” appeared in the Georgia Law Review, and her research on mandatory medical simulations was featured in Health Matrix: The Journal of Law-Medicine.

Julie holds a BA and BS from Miami University, a JD with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and an LL.M in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago. She also completed a fellowship in Clinical Medical Ethics at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago.
