Julie Campbell

Julie L. Campbell, J.D., LL.M., C.H.C. is a faculty fellow with the Jaharis Health Law Institute at DePaul University College of Law. Julie views the health care system through an interdisciplinary lens, identifying problems that impact patient care and health outcomes, with a focus on how technological advances in medicine impact patient decision-making and the dying process. Her recent article, “Systemic Failures in Health Care Oversight” was published in the Georgia Law Review, her work on mandatory medical simulations appeared in Health Matrix: The Journal of Law-Medicine, and her article, “The Ethical Use of Observations Units: Empowering Physician Autonomy for Patient Placement Decisions,” was published in the University of Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy.

Julie is certified in Healthcare Compliance and Clinical Medical Ethics and is a Senior Fellow of the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago.

Julie received her B.A. and B.S. from Miami University, her J.D. with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law, her LL.M. in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago, and her certificate in Clinical Medical Ethics from the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago.
